Yarn kit for the Friday V-Neck Slipover by PetiteKnit in Sunday and Tynn Silk Mohair by Sandnes Garn.

You knit from the top down in the broken rib pattern. This classic slipover is perfect for wearing over a dress or a shirt!

First, the back is made, followed by the two shoulders, and finally the body. Edgings are knitted along the V-neckline and around the armholes.

The neckband is knitted with decorative decreases at the center front.

Knit a swatch before you begin the actual knitting. Note that the broken rib pattern will stretch further after washing/when worn.

Therefore, you should expect the gauge to be approximately 24–25 sts per 10 cm before washing/wearing, but 22 sts per 10 cm after washing/wearing. Maintaining the exact gauge is extremely important for the shoulder width and fit. Therefore, wash your swatch before measuring it.

Size Guide

The Friday V-Neck Slipover should have approximately 6 cm of ease (positive ease) in relation to your bust circumference.

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL fit a bust circumference of 80–85 (85–90) 90–95 (95–100) 100–110 (110–120) 120–130 (130–140) 140–150 cm.

Take your own measurements before you begin knitting to make sure you have chosen the correct size for you. If your bust circumference measures, for example, 90 cm (or the widest point of your torso), you should choose size S, as its bust circumference is 96 cm.
