Yarn kit for the Cross Sweater Kids by PetiteKnit.

The pattern for the Cross Sweater was created in collaboration with the Red Cross. Part of the proceeds from pattern sales is donated to the Red Cross.

This way, you can wear the lovely red crosses while doing something truly good! 

You knit the Cross Sweater Kids seamlessly from the top down and, from the armholes, in the round using Peer Gynt by Sandnes Garn. This makes the charming sweater lightweight and durable, as well as really warm.

The Cross Sweater has a classic look with a simple pattern in beautiful contrasting colors.

Size Guide

The Cross Sweater Junior should have approximately 25 cm of ease (positive ease) compared with your chest circumference. Sizes 1–2 (2–3) 3–4 (4–5) 5–6 (6–7) 7–8 (8–9) 9–10 (10–11) 11–12 (12–14) years correspond to a body chest circumference of 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (75) 78 (82) cm. The finished sweater measurements can be found on the front page (please note that these measurements only apply if the gauge is maintained). If your or the recipient’s chest circumference measures, for example, 62 cm, you should choose size 6–7 years. A size 6–7 years sweater has a chest circumference of 88 cm and would therefore have 26 cm of ease (positive ease) in this example. If the measured chest circumference differs from the age ranges, you should consider adjusting the length to suit the person who will wear the garment. The same applies if the child is smaller or larger than average.
